Love 'em or hate 'em, full-size SUVs aren't going away anytime soon. Like the proverbial cockroach, they've survived numerous fuel crises, attacks from self-appointed officers of the committee for motoring righteousness, and the transition from points and carburetors to electronic ignition and fuel injection. Through it all, big-boy SUVs have been the go-to vehicles for when the job calls for hauling lots of people and their gear with enough muscle in reserve to tug a travel trailer or motorboat along for the ride.
